Return and Exchange Policy

At RaceDayQuads, we are dedicated to ensuring our customers are satisfied and fully informed about our return process. This policy explains the conditions and guidelines for returns. By placing an order with us, you accept these terms:

Warning:

It is highly recommended that you inspect the products ordered upon receipt and identify/report any issues BEFORE you try to fly, modify, construct, or use the product.

Standard Return Conditions:

  • Store: The merchandise being returned must be bought from RaceDayQuads.com. Any item bought from another store will not be accepted.
  • Product Quality: Items bought can only be returned if the items are unused and unopened. Performing either of these actions voids the eligibility for return. We will not accept items that have been glued, adjusted, or tampered with from the original condition upon arrival.
  • Included Items: Items returned must be in new condition with manuals, accessories, and other included items in the original packaging. Failure to include ALL items from the original shipment will automatically make your return invalid.
    • If the product being returned included a promotional or free item (such as a battery strap), that item must be included in the return package.
  • Period of Return: RaceDayQuads offers a 30-day return policy on all unopened equipment, starting from the date the product was delivered to the customer. Anything beyond 30 days will not be eligible for return.

Method of Refund:

  • Refunds are granted through two use cases that are determined in conversation between the customer and RDQ Customer Service Representative.
    1. Store Credit: Returns can be compensated through store credit, to which the customer can apply to future purchases.
    2. Refund: If the customer prefers a refund over store credit issuance, then the customer must speak to a customer service representative and make it known before the store credit is issued. In these situations where the customer service representative and customer come to an agreement, a monetary refund will be granted. The agreed refunds are issued to the original payment method of the order.

Product Return Request:

  • Return Request: To request a return, you must reach out to our customer service representatives at [email protected]. If accepted, a return label with an RMA number will be sent to you.
    • Unwanted Product(s): If the product being returned is new and unwanted, then the customer is responsible for arranging shipping for the return, including any costs associated with shipping fees. Tracking is not required when returning new and unwanted items, but is it strongly recommended. RaceDayQuads is not responsible for the loss or damage of merchandise through the shipping process.
    • Defective Items: If the item you have received is defective upon arrival, contact us immediately at [email protected]. On the initial email, please provide photos/videos of your product, a detailed description of the issue, and a description of what you have done to try and fix it (if applicable). For returned merchandise found to be genuinely defective, RaceDayQuads will ship out a replacement free of charge.
  • RMA Warning: RaceDayQuads is not responsible for returns sent before authorization from a customer service representative. RMA numbers expire 30 days after the date of issuance. If the RMA number reaches the 30-day expiration date before the product is returned, a new RMA will not be issued for the same order.
  • Return Package: The customer is responsible for making sure the item(s) being returned is securely packaged to avoid damage. RaceDayQuads is not responsible for damage during the return process and will deny a return if the product is damaged in transit to our facility.

Acceptance of Return:

  • Return Arrival: Please allow 3-5 business days for processing once your return arrives at our facility. Items requiring extensive testing could take up to 7-14 business days.
  • Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number: The issued RMA slip must be included inside the returned package.
  • Product Inspection: RaceDayQuads reserves the right to exchange, replace, or refund merchandise and not refund money if we deem that the product has been misused or modified in any form.

Product Types

  • General Accessories: Products not specifically listed, such as antennas, monitors, hardware, and general accessories are covered by a (30) day manufacture defect warranty. RaceDayQuads holds the right to refuse any products which have been deemed to be damaged by the customer and not related to a manufacturer issue.
  • FPV Cameras: FPV cameras are covered by a (30) day manufacturer defect warranty. The warranty does not cover damage from external forces, electrical fire, power surges, water damage, or tampering. Once approved, an exchange or store credit will be provided.
  • FPV Goggles: FPV goggles carry a (30) day warranty in the event of a manufacturer defect. The manufacturer's warranty does not cover any damage caused by drops, wear and tears, water damage, electrical damage, or damage caused by user alterations.
  • Flight Controllers / ESCs/ VTXs: All flight controllers (FC), electronic speed controllers (ESC), video transmitters (VTX), power distribution boards (PDB), and similar electronic components are covered under a (15) day RaceDayQuads warranty. These items are covered in the event of a manufacturer defect. This policy does not cover any of the following: user error, damage to the components upon install/dismantle, modifications, power surges, electrical fire, or water damage. (RaceDayQuads recommends testing all components for shorts before supplying power).
  • Motors / Servos: Motors and servos sold by RaceDayQuads are covered by a (30) day warranty for manufacturer defects. If an issue occurs within (30) days; RDQ will exchange the defective product. If the product is unavailable or has been discontinued, store credit may be issued. Motors with physical damage, modifications, or general abuse will not be eligible to receive credit and will be disposed of. NOTE** Please check all motor screws for proper length before spinning up.
  • Ready-to-Fly Drones: Ready-to-Fly drones built and sold by RDQ carry a (15) day return policy. In the occurrence of a malfunction, RDQ will repair or replace it with an original or similar model. If a replacement model is not available a store credit may be issued instead. RDQ holds the right to refuse any return which shows signs of modification, fire/water damage, electrical shorts, or general misuse. RDQ recommends inspecting all RTF’s thoroughly before supplying battery power.
  • Batteries: Batteries produced and sold by RaceDayQuads carry a (15) day warranty covering dead on arrival (DOA) and manufacturing defects. Excludes all batteries that show signs of misuse, overcharging, impact damage, or water damage. All battery returns must be approved by RDQ via an emailed image of the defective battery to [email protected]. Upon approval, please dispose of the damaged battery in a safe manner and the exchange or credit will be issued.

Decision

RaceDayQuads’ Customer Service Representatives reserve the right to deny a return for any reason.
